Automatic Overspeed or Pressure Signal

AUTOMATIC SHUT DOWN ON ENGINE OVERSPEED / APPLICATION OF AN AIR PRESSURE SIGNAL

A range of diesel engine air intake shut down valves which automatically close on engine overspeed or when an air pressure signal is applied, the TPZ valves can also be supplied with fitted cable and handle for manual shutdown.

The D-AP/D-AMP series of spring loaded poppet valves are designed to automatically stop a diesel engine by closing down the air intake should excessive overspeeding or an air pressure signal occur. Manual actuation is an option.


BASIC TPZ SERIES: AUTOMATIC OVERSPEED OR AIR PRESSURE TO SHUT DOWN

Automatic overspeed air intake shut down (shut off) valves with automatic reset combined with air pressure shut down. Simple cost effective fully automatic engine overspeed protection valves requiring no mechanical or electrical connections. These valve types can also be shut down by an air pressure signal. Variants are available to suit virtually all popular combinations of intake pipe sizes and engine rating. Note: Oil as opposed to air pressure can be used to shut down TPZ valves.

• Suitable for zone 1 or 2 and US MMS offshore installations including air operated ESD systems
• Combines with Chalwyn FSX-200 fuel shut down valve to give simultaneous shut down of intake air and diesel fuel
