Using advanced micro-processor technology, the DriveRight® 600E console monitors and logs vehicle trip information including detailed driver performance data. The interactive LCD display allows you to set speed, acceleration and deceleration limits, and to view trip data. Audible alarms with user-settable limits for speed, acceleration, and deceleration give instant feedback to drivers whenever one of the pre-set limits has been exceeded. In the event of an accident or sudden stop, DriveRight 600E also records the vehicle speed for each of the 20 seconds before and after a sudden deceleration. Two digital inputs allow DriveRight 600E to monitor vehicle functions such as brake lights, headlights, seat belt use and power take off (PTO) use. Enough memory for 600 trips and 10 accident logs. The DriveRight 600E is available in four configurations, depending upon the vehicle that you plan to monitor. The four models are detailed below:
For vehicles with an on-board diagnostic (OBDII) port. Uses the on-board diagnostic port for installation, found on foreign and domestic passenger cars, model-year 1996 and later built for sale in the US and Canada. Includes on-board LCD display console for viewing time, distance, top speed, and average speed. Audible alarms with user-settable limits for speed, acceleration, and deceleration give instant feedback to drivers. Includes installation/mounting kit. Not sure where the OBDII connector is in your car? Check the interactive database maintained by the National OBD Clearing House at Weber State University.
For autos and trucks with electronic speed sensors (VSS). Includes most 1994 and later model-years, and some earlier model-years with cruise control options. Includes on-board LCD display console for viewing time, distance, top speed, and average speed. Audible alarms with user-settable limits for speed, acceleration, and deceleration give instant feedback to drivers. Includes installation/mounting kit.
For vehicles without VSS sensors. Mounts on the vehicle's driveshaft or CV joint. General-duty model for most cars, light-duty vans, and pickup trucks. Includes on-board LCD display console for viewing time, distance, top speed, and average speed. Audible alarms with user-settable limits for speed, acceleration, and deceleration give instant feedback to drivers. Includes installation/mounting kit.
Mounts on the vehicle's driveshaft or CV joint. Heavy-duty model for large trucks, busses, and off-road vehicles. Includes on-board LCD display console for viewing time, distance, top speed, and average speed. Audible alarms with user-settable limits for speed, acceleration, and deceleration give instant feedback to drivers. Includes installation/mounting kit.

Add a GPS system to the DriveRight 600E or CarChip Fleet Pro in each vehicle, and see how and where your vehicles are being driven. Download the data to our Fleet Management Software, then use Microsoft MapPoint or other third-party mapping programs to create detailed maps showing each driver's routes, the speeds driven, and the locations of any accidents or near-accidents. The GPS Module (#8128) plugs quickly and easily into the DriveRight 600E on-board console or CarChip Fleet Pro data logger using the appropriate GPS/Wireless Interface Module. For maximum visibility to GPS satellites, position the module on the dashboard or windshield. Choose a location sampling interval from 5 seconds to 10 minutes. At a one-minute interval, you'll be able to log up to 44 hours of GPS data. Includes 6.5' (2 m) cable.
Davis Instruments builds two versions of this module. The GPS Wireless Interface Module (#8127) connects the GPS Module (#8128) to your DriveRight 600E console. In turn, the GPS Wireless Interface Module (#8251) connects the GPS Module (#8128) to your CarChip Fleet Pro data logger.
You'll need one module per vehicle. Easily mounts under dashboard using the included Velcro strips or double-sided foam tape. A single GPS Wireless Interface Module can be used to install both a wireless download system and a GPS system.
All data recorded by the DriveRight 600E or the CarChip Fleet Pro can be downloaded to a computer for use with the DriveRight Fleet Management Software (#8186). Fleet Managemant Software provides powerful reporting and data storage capabilities and is compatible with five popular database platforms.
The software's OBDC-compliant design means you can use your preferred database platform, whether it be Microsoft Access, MySQL, Oracle 9i, or another. With CarChip Fleet Pro you'll also get additional reports on engine performance logging and diagnostic trouble codes.
• Usage Report showing mileage driven, average monthly mileage, and weekend and nighttime driving by employee.
• Driver Performance Report with summarized data for each driver including individual "safety scores."
• Exception Reporting including reports for excessive speed, hard braking, and quick accelerations.
• Accident Log Report showing the last critical pieces of speed data (20 seconds for CarChip; 40 seconds for DriveRight 600E).
