The Powerview 485 is small but its rugged design offers a wide array of configurable I/O, including RS485, to support both mechanical and J1939 electronic engines.
The PV485 also supports Tier 4 and stage IV engines, helping to make your transition to Tier 4 easier. The display’s bonded LCD can easily be viewed in full sunlight, and its rugged tactile soft keys and durable design make it a perfect solution for all types of environments and applications.
The Rugged markets the PV485 is designed for, include Pumps, Agriculture, Construction, Specialized Vehicles such as Fire Trucks, Material Handling, Industrial, Military, Off-Road, Power Units, PowerSports Vehicles, Recreational Marine and Engine Manufacturers.
Key Differentiator: Rugged Protection
The PV485 is rated up to IP69K and can sustain wide operating temperatures. It comes with a RTV Wet Seal in the lens, front, and back housing, with a seal silicon keypad with radial seal design.
Key Differentiator: Modern LCD technology
The optically bonded lens improves sunlight viewability and eliminates lens fogging. The bonding process provides increased protection of LCD and lens from shock/vibration and the glass lens has superior scratch resistance over plastic. The acid-etched Anti-Glare (AG) reduces perceived reflection and does not degrade or wash off. Its projected capacitive, multi-touch capable fluid gesture control with water rejection and gloved hand functionality prevents false touches.

- The 4.3-inch (109.22 mm) display features rich, color graphics, it is a Bonded TFT LCD with LED backlight and it has a Resolution of 480 × 272 (WQVGA) with 16-bit color. It has a brightness of 900-1000 cd/m2 with a 30,000 hr lifetime.
- The Processor is a CPU Freescale iMX35@ 532 MHz (32-bit).
- Operating System: QNX Real-Time Operating System.
The PV485 controller is compatible with the PowerVision Configuration Studio® software, so custom configurations can be quickly developed. With the PowerVision Configuration Studio software, it’s easy to define the user interface screens, as well as the functionality and sequence of events controlled by the PV485. You can configure equipment control such as: autostart, pressure control, data logging and alarms. You can even add custom graphics and company branding to the user interface.
