Q. How long have you been at MurCal?

A. Almost three months now

Q. What is your position/role at MurCal?

A. I’m a Software Engineer at MurCal. .

Q. What do you love most about your job and why?

A. I love that I can work on projects from beginning to end. Plus the company culture and warm welcome have been great as well.

Q. How would you describe your job to a bunch of kindergarteners?

A. I make computer software to help farmers farm!

Q. Tell us a little about yourself:

A. I’m the son of two Mexican immigrants who believed they could find a better life for their kids in the US. Born and raised in Southern California. I’ve always had a love for technology, the sciences and problem solving. 

Q. Three words which best describe you:

A. Innovative, Caring, Determined.

Q. Your most memorable/rewarding MurCal experience?

A. Being able to find and deliver solutions for our IOT and web based customers and seeing the smiles on their face!

Q. Fun fact about you?

A. I grew up taking care of horses, goats, chickens and pigs as a child. 

Q. What place in the world would you like to visit?

A. Tokyo, Japan. I would love to ride their high speed trains and experience a different culture. 

Q. What is the coolest place you have ever visited?

A. It would have to be a tie between Pompeii Italy and the Mayan ruins of Tikal in Guatemala.

Q. What is the best piece of advice you've ever been given?

A. “Ponte las pilas mijo, la vida es dura pero nunca te rindas.” Which translates to “Never give up son life is hard but plug in your batteries and work hard.”

Q. Do you have any hidden talents?

A. Nope! Not really Sorry :( I can cook a pretty good steak though does that count?

Q. Do you have any hobbies?

A. I love to watch soccer with my family and friends.

Q. Do you have any pets?

A. I have a tiny yorkie named Fluffy! 

Q. Favorite Movies?

A. LOTR - The Fellowship of the Ring, LOTR - The Two Towers , LOTR - The Return of the King. Oh and of course The Shawshank Redemption. (Fight the good fight) 

Q. Favorite TV shows?

A. No one beats HBO shows. Band of Brothers, Game of Thrones, The Sopranos.

Q. Favorite Artist/Music?

A. Sublime, Kid Cudi, Porter, Ed Maverick, Johnny Cash, J. Cole, Junior H & many many more….

Q. Favorite Food?

A. Korean BBQ, Chinese Food and of course Mexican food. You can never go wrong with a taco

Q. Who Inspires You?

A. My parents. They instilled determination and hard work into me and I value all the lessons they have to teach. 

Q. Which celebrity would you like to meet?

A. He’s moved on to a better place but I would love to meet and talk to the great American astronomer Carl Sagan.
