Q. How long have you been at MurCal?

A. A year and 5 months.

Q. What is your position/role at MurCal?

A. I have 3 main roles. I am the Social Media Manager, I take care of most of the marketing and article/blog/newsletter writing and I also do most of the eCommerce for our online sales.

Q. What do you love most about your job and why?

A. Making graphics, writing articles/blogs, fiddle with social media, taking photos of products and add items to eBay/Amazon and take care of our Website is something I was doing on my own for fun before it was my “job” :-)

I do what I love and I love what I do.

Q. How would you describe your job to a bunch of kindergarteners?

A. I make sure people that need our products find them.

Q. Tell us a little about yourself:

A. I was born and raised in Italy and when I came to the US to visit my aunt I ended up going to High School, graduating, and then marrying. My ex-husband is still one of my best friends. I remarried 21 years ago and I adore him.

I have had 3 boys, one is on earth and is my joy, two are in heaven. My first baby was stillborn, my second baby was born with a rare and horrible condition called Recessive Dystrophic Epidermolysis Bullosa. Nicky wasn’t supposed to survive a year but lived 25. I will miss him forever. 

Q. Three words which best describe you:

A. Caring. Loyal. Ambitious.

Q. Your most memorable/rewarding MurCal experience?

A. Just seeing visits to the website going up, social media and sales increases make me happy. That’s what I live and work for.

Q. Fun fact about you?

A. I wrote several books, most notably “Butterfly Child” about my son’s life.

I can type fast and correctly without looking at the keyboard and I can write HTML with my eyes closed. Well, almost ;-)

Q. What place in the world would you like to visit?

A. Paris, France. I must see Versailles and the Louvre.

Q. What is the coolest place you have ever visited?

A. Venice, Italy!!!

Q. What is the best piece of advice you've ever been given?

A. My dad used to always advocate self-control and patience and often told me there was no need to revenge and quoted a famous Chinese proverb that went something like this:

“If you wait by the river long enough, the bodies of your enemies will float by.”

Q. Do you have any hidden talents?

A. I can spin pizza dough! On my previous life (before kids) I was a Domino’s Pizza manager.

Q. Do you have any hobbies?

A. I am obsessed with Genealogy. I also enjoy reading, swimming, puzzles and play silly farm games on my iPad.

Q. Do you have any pets?

A. I have 3 cats and a bunch of fish. My oldest cat, Princess, is a 13 year old tabby. The other two are my “Covid kitties”, both Persians, a white girl we named Angel and a brown and white sweetie named Oliver.

Q. Favorite Movies?

A. Back to the future Trilogy, The Count of MonteCristo, The Time Machine. I love all Time Travel movies! I am taking suggestions!

Q. Favorite TV shows?

A. I absolutely love Outlander! I love Star Trek (any and all!), and 1923 is my new favorite.

Q. Favorite Artist/Music?

A. Bon Jovi is a long time fave. I like nearly all music with the sole exception of most Rap or Hip-Hop, much to my son’s dismay. I used to be a DJ in my younger days and I met my husband while he was working as a manager of a music store while going to College, so music is a big part of my life.

Q. Favorite Food?

A. Pizza!

Q. Who Inspires You?

A. My son inspired me a great deal. The way he lived through life, with the amount of pain he had, always with a smile on his face. He was everything.

Q. Which celebrity would you like to meet?

A. I already met Brad Pitt  (I know, right?) and my childhood crush Erik Estrada, so maybe Kevin Constner or Jon Bon Jovi!!!
