This Month We Meet Todd Henderson!

Q. How long have you been at MurCal?

A. I've been at MurCal for a little over 2 months.

Q. What is your position/role at MurCal?

A. I'm a Software Engineer

Q. What do you love most about your job and why?

A. I love the end of working on something when problems are resolved!

Q. How would you describe your job to a bunch of kindergarteners?

A. You don't have to be great at difficult math problems if you want to be a Software Engineer, but you should probably be good at solving puzzles.

Q. Tell us a little about yourself:

A. I'm a positive guy that loves to hangout with others, loves God, and loves his family. I enjoy different types of sports when I have time for it but I try not to risk having potential injuries too much! In the past I've enjoyed Snowboarding, motorcycle riding, practicing Jiu Jitsu, and playing Basketball.

Q. Three words which best describe you:

A. Friendly, ambitious, and caring.

Q. Your most memorable/rewarding MurCal experience?

A. During my second Town Hall meeting that we have each month at MurCal I received a Core Value award that's given out to one person each month. I really appreciated the acknowledgement from others who think I'm doing well enough at the job after having just started out here at MurCal.

Q. Fun fact about you?

A. I've never broken a bone before. (And if I did, then I don't know about it, haha).

Q. What place in the world would you like to visit?

A.England, because my wife wants to visit there. We were supposed to visit there in 2020 but there was some illness that was going around, maybe you've heard of it.

Q. What is the coolest place you have ever visited?

A. Ohio. I love how green it was there.

Q. What is the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given?

A. I've enjoyed this verse from the Bible, "Finishing is better than starting. Patience is better than pride." - Ecclesiastes 7:8

Starting new things and new projects can be good. But being at the end of a project is great when everything is finished and wrapped up!

Q. Do you have any hidden talents?

A. I can play the guitar and I think I may be able to join our in-house MurCal Christmas band called "The Magnetic Pickups" next year. We'll see.

Q. Do you have any hobbies?

A. The hobby I've stuck to the most recently is running. I'm fine with just running around my neighborhood too.

Q. Do you have any pets?

A. We have a Goldendoodle named Winnie.

Q. Favorite Movies?

A. I'm not sure but my favorite Christmas was probably Elf in the past. But now I feel like I've seen it so much that it's not as fun.

Q. Favorite TV shows?

A. The Office. I've watched it on repeat a lot and I still like it.

Q. Favorite Food?

A. All of it.

Q. Who Inspires You?

A. My wife has been an inspiration to me. I think she was a big part of my inspiration for going back to school after we got married. Since then I've gone back to school and I received my Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science this last June of 2022.

Q. Which celebrity would you like to meet?

A. Chip and Joanna Gaines. They seem friendly and fun to meet.
