For more than 25 years, EGIS Mobile Electric has built a reputation for delivering reliable, high-quality electrical products that stand up to the toughest conditions. From emergency vehicles to marine vessels, EGIS products are trusted by professionals who demand performance and durability where failure is not an option.
EGIS: A History of Dependability
EGIS Mobile Electric traces its roots to Copeland Engineering, founded in 1996 to improve electrical systems for hot rods and emergency vehicles. Over the decades, EGIS has focused on innovation and reliability, supporting critical applications in emergency, municipal, marine, and specialty vehicles. Today, EGIS continues this legacy with products engineered, assembled, and tested in Bellingham, Washington, backed by generous warranties and expert customer support.
Built for Harsh Environments
EGIS products are designed to withstand extreme temperatures, vibration, moisture, and dust-conditions common in demanding applications like:
• Emergency response vehicles
• Work trucks and utility fleets
• Marine vessels (commercial and recreational)
• Recreational vehicles (RVs)
• Specialty and off-road vehicles
Whether mounted in engine compartments, exposed to saltwater spray, or subject to constant vibration, EGIS solutions are made to last and protect vital electrical systems.
Five Product Lines That Set the Standard
Here are five standout EGIS product lines that exemplify the company’s commitment to quality and reliability:
1. RT Series Battery Terminal Mount Fuse Block
This compact, weatherproof fuse block is ideal for battery-mounted branch circuit protection. With stainless steel hardware, a latching cover, and weatherproof labeling, it is built for harsh environments and tight spaces-perfect for marine, emergency, and utility vehicles.
2. XD Series Relays and Low Voltage Disconnects
The XD Series offers programmable, high-amp relays for battery disconnect, charging, and low voltage protection. Sealed to IP67/IP6K9 standards and rated for high temperatures, these relays ensure reliable operation in any location, from engine bays to exposed deck mounts. Their flexibility and remote control capability make them a favorite for fleet and marine applications.
3. Advanced Automatic Charging Relays
EGIS’s advanced automatic charging relays (ACRs) automatically manage charging between multiple batteries, preventing dead starts and maximizing battery life. They feature ultra-low power draw, robust sealed construction, and flexible installation options. With adjustable voltage settings and start assist functions, these ACRs are built for reliability in marine, emergency, and specialty vehicle applications. Their corrosion-resistant hardware and integrated thermal protection ensure long-term performance in harsh environments.
4. MT Series Sealed Fuse/Circuit Breaker Blocks
The MT Series features fully sealed, connectorized fuse and circuit breaker blocks with integrated Deutsch™ connectors. Designed for marine and vehicle systems, these blocks simplify installation and maximize reliability by eliminating common failure points due to moisture or vibration.
5. 87 Series Circuit Breakers
EGIS 87 Series circuit breakers provide robust protection against short circuits and overloads, with high interrupt current ratings and IP66 sealing against dust and water intrusion. Their reinforced mounting tabs and corrosion-resistant hardware ensure structural reliability even under heavy vibration, making them ideal for vehicles and vessels exposed to the harshest conditions. These breakers are rated for up to 48V DC and deliver thousands of cycles at full current, standing up to the demands of modern electrical systems.
