Murphy by Enovation Controls’ PowerCore® Intelligent Xpansion™ Power Distribution Module (PDM) expands CAN bus control networks by replacing existing relay and fuse boxes with more reliable, solid-state switches that can directly drive work lights, wiper motors, cooling fans, directional DC motors and other high-current loads.
Featuring digital switching and up to 15-amp outputs, the module is housed in a compact, fully sealed enclosure which can be mounted remotely on the equipment to greatly reduce wiring costs.
More Reliable Than Fuse and Relay Technology
Compact, Sealed, Robust Enclosure
Enhanced Diagnostics and Protection
Cuts Wire Harness Costs
--------------------------------------
Some of the other features include:
- Directly drives lights, cooling fans, wiper motors, directional DC motors and other high current loads
- Each of the 12 PDM outputs can switch or proportionally control 15A loads in 2.5A increments
- Features built-in over-current detection and shutdown capability
- Outputs are paired to run up to six electric motors with H-bridge direction control
Twelve digital inputs monitor switched battery, ground and floating inputs
- Eight analog inputs are available with a 5V sensor supply
- Remotely locating PDM module near signals and loads reduces wiring length and cuts costs by up to 60%
- I/O is multiplexed using a CANbus network, which allows engineers to greatly simplify harness design for ease of installation and greater reliability
- Inputs can directly trigger outputs for applications not requiring a CANbus, eliminating need for separate microcontroller
- Fully sealed and potted to withstand wash-down and dust
