For the MurCal team, the annual trip to Tulare, California, for the World Ag Expo is more than just a business trip—it’s a piece of our history. Our founders, Art and Essie Murphy, were there at the very beginning, attending the very first show back in 1968. Nearly 60 years later, we are still proud to be a part of the world’s largest outdoor agricultural show.
The 2026 Expo was a massive success, bringing together over 100,000 attendees. It was a truly global event, with visitors representing all 50 states, the District of Columbia, and 53 different countries. With a slight increase in attendance from last year, the energy across the 2.6 million square feet of exhibit space was undeniable.

Partners and Teamwork
Every year, the weeks leading up to the show are a bit of a whirlwind. As our VP Jim joked, "The funny part is that we have been winging it for the last few years…” But right when it matters most, our community shows up.
In the two weeks before the gates opened, our key vendor partners—FW Murphy, SENQUIP, Enovation Controls, Vanguard, and MCS—all stepped up to support us. This teamwork is what makes our booth successful. We aren't just selling products; we are a hub where the best in the business come together to support the agricultural community.

Seeing Technology in Action
You can’t truly understand a control system or a telemetry unit just by looking at a catalog. You need to see it work. Our Engineer Nick did an incredible job this year, spending his time in the booth giving hands-on demonstrations. He showed attendees exactly how our engine controllers and remote monitoring tools can make their lives easier.
Teresa and Mustafa noted how valuable it was to meet our customers in person. It’s one thing to talk over the phone, but seeing our products being used out in the field and hearing directly from the people using them is the best feedback we can get.

Making the Most of Every Opportunity
While Jim noted that the show felt a little slow at times compared to the busiest years, he was quick to point out the silver lining: "It is during these times where the AG market is a little slow that people work to figure out how to be better."
When things aren't moving at a frantic pace, smart operators take the time to look for ways to improve. They want to reduce downtime and make their equipment last longer. We saw a huge amount of interest in SENQUIP telemetry because it helps people keep an eye on their machinery from anywhere. Whether the day was packed or steady, our goal remained the same: helping our customers find the most reliable solutions.
Looking Forward to 2027
Walking the floor, Nick was able to see the latest technologies and learn about the new challenges facing farmers today. From simple mechanical fixes to high-tech innovations, the spirit of the Ag Expo is all about moving forward.
We are honored to continue the legacy that Art and Essie started in 1968. Building relationships—one conversation at a time—is what we do best. We left Tulare feeling energized and ready to get back to work.
We’ll see you there in 2027!

Tech Jargons Explained Part 3: The Connected System & Integration Guide
In Parts 1 and 2, we decoded the "nuts and bolts" and the electrical signals of your control systems. But in today’s industrial landscape, equipment doesn’t live on an island. It’s all about communication, remote access, and system-wide protection. In Part 3, we explore the jargons of connectivity—the terms you’ll see when integrating displays, telematics, and advanced engine protection.
