Can the Powervision and Powercore controllers be programmed in the field?

Yes, these units can be programmed in the field setting various set points and parameters for each application.

What are the key differences between the TEC-10, MPC-10 and MPC-20?

The key difference between these three units are the number of internal relays included per unit.

TEC-10 and MPC-10 will have 3 internal relays included in the controller.

MPC-20 will double the amount of relays with 6.

We have a powercore series controller using a magnetic pickup for our speed source but we are not getting accurate reading. What could the issue be?

The most common solution for this issue is that the magnetic pickup could be dirty. Remove the magnetic pickup to wipe down and install back on the engine.

The other solution will be to confirm the settings within the powercore controller are set properly. (Ex. Speed Source, Speed Calibration - Pulse Count  and Speed Calibration - RPM

How do we calibrate our tachometers?

You can adjust calibration on all models with the calibration button on the back of

the housing. The engine must be running at a known RPM during the calibration

Process. Once the tachometer is in calibration mode, it will exit the calibration mode

and return to normal operating mode if the calibration button is not pressed for 5 seconds.

How to reset service reminders on the Powercore controllers?

To reset service reminders press the menu key enter the passcode 3482. From there follow these steps.

System → Service Reminders → Reset All or reset the specified service( Ex. Oil Life)
