Q. How long have you been at MurCal?

A. I have been at MurCal for 25 years. I started at our old building in 1999.

Q. What is your position/role at MurCal?

A. I started in the test department-we made auto start controllers typically for generators.  Many people were afraid of the Y2K scare! When we moved to our current building I transitioned into sales and customer service for around 20 years. At the moment I build engine harnesses for a big crane with a pump or a drill attached to the boom. I also help out in shipping and receiving when needed.

Q. What do you love most about your job and why?

A. What I love about my job is knowing that this equipment that we build helps feed the world. Plus-I am close to home. That is a big one.

Q. Fun fact about you?

A. I am an accomplished keyboard player and have 7 vintage synthesizers. I used to play at Universal Studios and even on TV game shows.

Q. What is the coolest place you have ever visited?

A. Yosemite- I go every year and it is heaven on Earth. Also, my wife and I went to Easter Island earlier this year. We love to travel and this one will be hard to beat.

Q. Do you have a favorite quote?

A. "Be the driver of your life, not the hood ornament!"

Q. Do you have any pets?

A. My pet is a dog (Grover) who used to work at MurCal. He was is shipping for a while - cutest little guy you ever saw.

Q. Favorite Movies?

A. The Big Lebowski, Platoon & This is Spinal Tap.

Q. Favorite Artist/Music?

A. Deep Purple, Santana, Jeff Beck, Joe Jackson & The English Beat.

Q. Who Inspires You?

A. My wife Monica is my main inspiration. I would not be anywhere near as successful without her. We have been married for 38 years!

Q. Which celebrity would you like to meet?

A. I already did that- sat right next to Stevie Wonder at a concert and was invited to the after show party. What a night!

Q. Top three bucket list goals?

A. My three bucket list goals would be:

-Travel the country in my motorhome.

-Compile a mega album of as many recordings that I have played on as possible.

-Retire in style if you know what I mean!
