MCS offers a range of advanced electronic throttle pedals built for heavy-duty and mobile equipment use. These pedals provide precise control, strong durability, and reliable performance in tough working conditions.

The 962 000, 965 000, and 966 000 series are designed with user comfort, flexible customization, and tough construction, meeting strict industry safety and quality standards.

962 000 Series: Heavy Duty Reliability

The 962 000 series electronic throttle and brake pedals feature rest positions at 30°, 35°, or 45°, with a travel angle of 22°. Two built-in return springs provide reliable pedal rebound and control. The pedal is constructed with a die-cast aluminum treadle support and mounting plate, ensuring sturdiness and long-lasting service life. Designed to withstand harsh conditions, it offers water and dust ingress protection up to IP69K, with an operating temperature range of -40°C to +85°C and storage from -40°C to +125°C. The connector is an AMP 6-pin, waterproof design that supports seamless integration.

The pedals comply with multiple automotive and safety standards including FMVSS 124, FMVSS 302 (ECE R118), 72/245/EEC, ECE R10.06, E1 number 03 5754, and meet ISO 26262 part 5 ASIL C requirements for specific sensor versions, ensuring safety and reliability throughout operation.

Output signals from the sensor are fully programmable at the factory to suit customer needs and can be configured for analogue, PWM, IVS, current, CAN J1939, or CANopen protocols. Optional features offer brake springs, rubber covers, dual sensors with up to four output signals, mechanical kick-down, specialized connectors, and customized wiring harnesses.

965 000 Series: Versatile Solutions for Mobile Equipment

The 965 000 series maintains the solid foundation of the 962 series while offering additional flexibility important for mobile equipment. Rest positions can be set at 30°, 35°, or 45°, with travel angles of 18° or 22°. The product includes two built-in return springs and the same IP69K-level protection, operating/storage temperature ranges, and robust die-cast aluminium components.

Recognized standards ensure these pedals meet stringent safety and regulatory requirements, while output signals remain programmable for versatile compatibility including analogue and CAN-based protocols. Unique options include different treadle and mounting plates, swivel arms for ergonomic mounting, and mechanical kick-down functions to tailor for specific machine needs.

966 000 Series: Ergonomics and Customization

The ergonomic design of the 966 000 series focuses on user comfort and customization. With rest positions at 33°, 39°, or 45° and a travel angle of 17°, it offers precise control with two built-in return springs and IP69K ingress protection. Its operating and storage temperature ranges align with MCS’s high standards for harsh environments.

Additional customization options include a choice of mounting plates, different treadle designs, swivel arms, force hysteresis for advanced control, mechanical kick-down, and switch options. Electronic outputs are programmable and compliant with the latest safety standards, including ISO 26262 ASIL C, applicable for specific dual 5V and CAN sensor models.

Common Features & Standards

All MCS electronic throttle pedals utilize programmable Hall Effect sensors, enabling smooth and precise engine speed control suitable for a wide variety of heavy machinery and vehicle applications. The sensors support multiple signal types that cater to diverse engine management systems and electronic control modules.

MCS pedals’ compliance with standards such as FMVSS 124 and FMVSS 302, along with European certifications and ISO functional safety standards, assure top-tier performance and safety assurance.

Applications

These throttle pedals are engineered primarily for industries like agriculture, construction, mining, material handling, and commercial vehicles where durability, precision, and safety are paramount. Their rugged designs and flexibility make them ideal for environments that demand reliable throttle control under extreme conditions.

MCS electronic throttle pedals from the 962 000, 965 000, and 966 000 series represent the pinnacle of heavy-duty throttle control technology. With customizable configurations, high ingress protection, compliance with global safety and quality standards, and ergonomic design, they deliver superior performance for industrial mobility and engine control applications worldwide.
