The MurphyLink® Series ML2000 Panel, engineered by Enovation Controls Industrial Panel Division, provides powerful and versatile engine control for a wide range of industries. Available in two distinct enclosure options—NEMA 4X and Black Powder-Coated Metal—these panels, equipped with the advanced Murphy PowerCore MPC-20 Controller, are designed to meet the diverse needs of various applications while ensuring durability, efficiency, and flexibility. The MPC-20 is IP67 rated front and back.

Industry Applications for the MurphyLink® Series ML2000 Panels

The ML2000 Series Panels excel in numerous industrial environments, supporting both manual and automatic control of engines. Whether used in outdoor conditions or controlled indoor environments, these panels enable smooth engine management across a wide range of industries.

1. Agriculture

The MurphyLink® ML2000 panels play a key role in agricultural settings, where efficient control of engines powering irrigation systems, pumps, and other farming machinery is essential. The panels ensure reliable, automated control, which enhances productivity and reduces manual labor. The NEMA 4X enclosure offers additional protection from dust, dirt, and moisture, making it ideal for farming environments.

2. Oil & Gas Industry

The ML2000 panels are frequently used in the oil and gas sector, especially for controlling engines that power wellhead operations, compressors, and drilling equipment. The NEMA 4X version is particularly valuable in outdoor or offshore environments where harsh weather and moisture resistance are critical. Its ability to display active and stored fault diagnostics aids operators in maintaining peak performance while minimizing downtime.

3. Marine Applications

Marine industries benefit from the ML2000 panel’s ability to withstand extreme conditions. The NEMA 4X enclosure provides superior protection against water, salt, and corrosion, making it a go-to solution for marine engines and equipment control. It allows seamless control over marine systems, supporting both mechanically and electronically governed engines, while its large monochrome LCD display ensures visibility even in bright, sunlit conditions.

4. Construction Equipment

In the construction sector, equipment reliability is essential. The ML2000 panels help manage engines in cranes, excavators, and other heavy machinery. The Black Powder-Coated Metal Enclosure offers a durable yet cost-effective option for controlling equipment in indoor or sheltered environments, while the panel's software flexibility allows operators to customize settings for each specific machine, optimizing engine performance and fuel efficiency.

5. Power Generation

Power generation systems—both portable and stationary—often rely on the ML2000 Series for smooth engine control. These panels are particularly effective in generator systems where automatic starting, stopping, and throttling are critical for maintaining uninterrupted power supply. Their compatibility with Tier 4 engines ensures they meet the strictest environmental standards in power generation applications.

6. Manure Management in Agriculture

A standout example of the ML2000 panel’s application is its use in automating consistent manure management on a hog farm. The panel provides efficient control over the engine-driven equipment used to manage waste, significantly improving operational efficiency while reducing the manual intervention required in a labor-intensive process.

ML2000-R2: MurphyLink® Series Panel with NEMA 4X Enclosure

The ML2000-R2 NEMA 4X modelis built to withstand the toughest outdoor conditions. Its polycarbonate enclosure ensures protection against moisture, dust, and environmental hazards, making it ideal for use in industries such as agriculture, marine, and oil and gas. The panel features the MPC-20 controller, which supports both mechanically and electronically governed engines, and its large 3.8-inch LCD screen allows operators to view diagnostics and faults in real time.

With SAE J1939 CAN communication, the ML2000 panel integrates seamlessly with modern engine systems. For operators needing customization, the software configuration tool enables settings to be tailored and uploaded via a USB thumb drive, providing the flexibility to meet specific application requirements.

ML2000-R2: MurphyLink® Series Panel with Black Metal Enclosure

The ML2000-R2 with Black Powder-Coated Cold Rolled Steel Enclosure is designed for use in less demanding environments, such as factories, indoor engine rooms, and sheltered industrial settings. While it doesn't provide the same level of weatherproofing as the NEMA 4X, the black metal enclosure offers robust protection for engines and equipment.

This version of the ML2000 panel retains the same core features, including the MPC-20 controller and its ability to control engines via the SAE J1939 CAN protocol. It is particularly well-suited for indoor applications in manufacturing, construction, and power generation, where its mounting flexibility and compact design make it easy to integrate into existing systems.

The MurphyLink® Series ML2000 Panels with NEMA 4X and Black Metal enclosures offer versatile solutions for controlling engines across multiple industries. Whether you need robust protection for outdoor environments or a durable control panel for indoor applications, these panels provide the flexibility, reliability, and advanced control capabilities necessary for a wide range of applications. Their compatibility with both mechanically and electronically governed engines, customizable software, and ability to withstand challenging conditions make the ML2000 Series an ideal choice for operators seeking dependable engine control in any setting.

The Shift to Non-Venting Regulators: A Game-Changer for Oil and Gas Emissions Control

In the oil and gas industry, emissions control has become a top priority as regulations tighten standards for natural gas emissions. The choice between venting and non-venting regulators is now more critical than ever, with companies seeking sustainable solutions to meet environmental standards and improve operational efficiency. The Problem with Venting Regulators Venting regulators have long been industry staples, effectively managing pressure in production equipment like separators and compressors. However, their design releases small amounts of gas during each operation, contributing to harmful natural gas emissions. As environmental concerns grow, this once-overlooked issue has come under scrutiny. The Rise of Non-Venting Regulators Beaumont Manufacturing and Distribution (BMD) offers innovative solutions to address these challenges. Their non-venting regulators, including the RG10, RG20, and RG50 models, manage pressure without releasing gas into the atmosphere. Instead, these regulators redirect gas back into the system, providing several key benefits: Compliance with EPA regulations: Non-venting regulators help companies meet the requirements of Quad O and its successors. Reduced environmental impact: By preventing natural gas release, these regulators significantly lower emissions. Improved efficiency: Capturing gas that would otherwise be lost leads to better resource utilization. Retrofitting for the Future For companies with existing infrastructure, BMD offers conversion kits that transform venting regulators into non-venting models. This allows operators to modernize their systems without the need for complete overhauls, making the transition more cost-effective and manageable. Beyond Compliance: Sustainability and Efficiency Adopting non-venting regulators isn't just about meeting regulatory requirements. It's a strategic move towards sustainability and operational efficiency. By lowering emissions, reducing waste, and retaining more product for sale, companies can position themselves for long-term success in an evolving industry. The shift to non-venting regulators represents a significant step forward in emissions control for the oil and gas sector. As the industry continues to adapt to stricter environmental standards, these innovative solutions offer a path to compliance, sustainability, and improved operational performance.
