MurCal is pleased to introduce its Municipal IoT website, MurCalMunicipal.com!
Within the last year our Engineering team has produced an improved website that allows users of S800 control panels to remotely view live data from their stations anywhere! Whether navigating from a tablet, laptop, or phone, users are just a step away from securely logging on through their browser.
On the backend, the website utilizes an AWS infrastructure, supported with live MQTT data, to allow the frontend to display various layers of data such as, well water levels, engine hours, running sump pumps, and even the current RPM of running engines.
Unlike complicated Scada Systems that may only be accessible to a handful of employees on a team, access to MurCalMunicipal.com is easy! The sign up process is much like other websites where a user has a few key items to fill out and creates a secure password. However, only those with access to their pump station (via direct invites from their station's "Owner") can have access to the website and pump stations that are associated with them.
Simplicity is a big part of the website. A user can expect a simple layout when they log on with a navigation style that makes sense.
At the heart of the website is the Dashboard. This is what a user uses to view what's going on at their station. If a municipality owns more than one station, those stations can be added to the Dashboard, via "Assignments", to view multiple station cards at the same time.
In case a user would like to know what's going on with a station's water level, they can hover over and view historical data of such data for the last hour.
To make it easier to view multiple station's data at the same time, a user can minimize all of the station cards at once.
When it rains, it pours. Recently the website was utilized by a customer during the heavy rains Southern California experienced this year. The below screenshot shows water charts of flood station wells, and engines running to ensure water levels don't get too high. Anytime water levels went high enough, it was time for S800 controllers to kick in and keep the station's water level at a safe point.
Having access to MurCalMunicipal.com meant you could watch this action happen, from anywhere.
The MurCalMunicipal.com website is a great added value component to S800 units and something that can take any municipal flood station to the next level!
